Nazareth with Zion Tours and Travel

On receiving the entry pass  and visa permit to Israel we hopped into a bus to see a new face waiting for us, he was our travel guide Mr. Hani, who has been associated with Zion Tours and Travel from the time the company started.

All through the journey to Nazareth Mr. Hani briefed us on the rich history, culture and geography of Israel. In midst of being engrossed to the knowledge that was passed on and travelling through the country side, we reached the city of Nazareth, where we asked to step out of the bus  and follow our Guide through the streets of Casa Nova  to visit Church of the Annuniciation.

On reaching the Church we were informed that the towering cupola of the Church of the Annunciation stands over the cave which was the home of the Virgin Mary, where angel Gabriel appeared and announced to Mary that she is about to give birth of Jesus. The Church courtyard is filled with vibrant mosaic art from all over the world dedicated to Mary and baby Jesus.

We later walked to Church of Joseph’s  which is  adjacent to the . It  is called the carpenter workshop of the Holy family.

After finishing our visits we boarded our bus and proceeded to the Hotel Rimonim which will house us for the next 2 days. Our Dinner call was at 7 p.m. The buffet spread was sumptuous with choices in meat, fish, salads, and desserts. Post dinner a few fellow travelers walked down to the city and ended the day with lots of laughter.

  1. Nazareth looks beautiful through your eyes. Especially loved the description and pictures of the Church of Annunciation; as well as the picture of the Holy Family in St.Joseph’s Church. That must have been a great start to Israel tourism! 😉

      1. One can’t capture everything through a camera or phone. Some images are best stored in the eye, as my sister would say 😉

      2. Totally agree with her .. cause there are time I believe leaving a camera behind and enjoying the moment is all that’s needed..
